ANNOUNCEMENTS
· There will be a MANDATORY PARENT MEETING on Wednesday, August 8th starting at 5:45p.m. at Milwaukee Renaissance Academy. The meeting with provide parents with an opportunity to learn more about MRA’s policies and procedures, as well as obtain a copy of the Family Student Handbook 2010-2011 if they have not done so already. It is important to have ALL parents present for this meeting. The best way to guarantee our youth’s success is to act TOGETHER. We look forward to meeting our new famlies and catching up with our returning families.
· MRA will be hosting the first OPEN HOUSE of the 2010-2011 school year on Wednesday, September 22nd from 5:30pm-7pm. Stop by, grab a passport and explore all that MRA has to offer. Open House is a great way to informally meet your scholar’s teachers and learn about the different classes MRA has to offer. Additionally, community resources will be the gym this year, giving out information for families including after school options for MRA scholars. Parents remember - NO EXCUSES! Our goal is to have at least 80% of our MRA parents attend each of our schoolwide events. This is one of them! We look forward to seeing you all there!
· The new school year is officially underway! Students returned to the MRA hallways on Tuesday, August 31st, prepared to “Raise the Bar”. Seats are still available for Grade 6. We encourage families to register as soon as possible to guarantee their student does not miss important diagnostic testing these first few weeks of school.
